I hadn't seen Melvena Beck (now Brown)
since 1956, but in the last few months we have been emailing. She
lives in Abilene and one of my grandsons was in the Texas High School
Rodeo Finals held in Abilene in June. I emailed Melvena to tell
her we would be there and she very graciously and bravely invited us to
stay there. So, myself and 3 grandkids spent the night with her
after the first rodeo, then the next morning she attended the second
performance with us.
We had a really good time and she is
just as sweet as ever.
