Wadene Thomasson Vineyard

I married Gene Vineyard (class of ’56) in January of 1958. You may recall Gene and I dated most all the way through PHS. We lived in Amarillo until1973 when Gene took a job in Georgia. We had 3 sons while we lived in Amarillo. This coming January, we will celebrate our 50th Anniversary. Our anniversary is truly a gift from GOD and we give Him the praise and glory.

Each of our son’s married Godly wives and each one have 3 children. We moved 4 times since we moved to Georgia. The last time we moved was to a home on a lake. The grandchildren love coming to Granny & Pop’s to ski, swim and enjoy the home theater plus a lots of TLC and a little grandparent spoiling. All of our children and grandchildren live no further than 45 minutes from our home.

I started college at West Texas State before we married. I went back and finished my undergrad and then my Masters at West Georgia State. I taught in one elementary school for 25 years. I retired in 2000 and have enjoyed every day. Gene is still working and enjoying every minute of in. He has a search firm which specializes in finding people for the concrete industry. We enjoy traveling all over the United States in connection with his work. We will leave the reunion and travel to MD for a convention.

Our oldest son is a High School teacher. Our middle son does leadership training for the Georgia Baptist Association and our youngest remodels homes. We are very proud of all of our children and grandchildren.

We praise the LORD for how He has blessed our lives. He restored our marriage and family. I am a cancer survivor since a mastectomy in 1998. All of our family is very healthy and following after GOD. We are a very blessed family.
