I married Jerry Lunsford, Class of 1953, on September 6, 1957. We have two boys, Steven and Brian. I was a stay-at-home mom for the first few years, then worked for my Father parttime in his business. Jerry worked for Celanese Corporation at the Pampa Plant, then we were tramsferred in 1970 to Greenville , South Carolina to the Fibers Division. I enrolled in college that fall and got my degree in Dental Hygiene. The Lord, Jerry and the boys made my tough schedule possible. I immediately went to work for a dentist in Greenville. In 1984 we wemt tp Decatur, Alabama for Jerry's job assignment for a year & half. I took the Alabama State Denetal Hygiene Board and worked for a dentist there. We returned to Greenville in 1985 and I went back to the dentist in Greenville where I worked before we left. Jerry went back to the Celanese Film Plant here in Greenville. By the time we returned to Greenville the boys ! had finished thier college education. In 1987, Brian married Joni and in 1990 Steven married Sheri. Steven & Sheri have our three grandchildren ~ Christopher, 11; Amy, 10; and Davida, 3. In June of 2000 we both retired. We have stayed really busy with church and community work and travel We serve on several committies and are very active in our church trying to spread the gospel message. I am presently the facilitator for our Literacy Program for children and adults, and teach English as a Second Language to both children and adults. Jerry and I serve on our Church Mercy Team as Coordinators for our ministry to nursing home and home-bound members. We both volunteer at the local Free Medical Clinic that is sponsored by our Church and several other other churches in our area. We also enjoy singing in our Legacy Choir. We have many good friends in this area. We have taken several cruises to the Caribbean, Tahiti, Alaska, Western & Eastern Canada,! Northern Europe, Southern Europe, Russia, England, Scotland a! nd Irela nd. We really enjoy traveling on cruises and usually travel with Brian and Joni. We've also traveled some in the United States and have been inspired by the beauty of our Nation as well as other areas of the world. We have such fond memories of our years in Pampa and really look forward to being there and seeing everyone at our Class Reunion!
