CAROLYN REED STROUD

Ed and I are completing our 14th year as coordinators of the Outreach Ministries of Trinity Fellowship Church.  These ministries include Harvest House, which is the food outreach center, where we give food to those who need it; the WearHouse, with clothing and household goods; the Furniture Ware House; Back-to-School Outreach, with school supplies given to approximately 300 students each year; and the Christmas Outreach, with groceries given to about 150 families.  We coordinate the volunteers who help with all of these ministries, as well as the volunteers for summer Lunch-in-the-Park, and year-around Kids' Cafe that feeds supper to needy families at four Pampa schools.  Over 5,000 people have been helped through these ministries in the last year.

We believe that the Lord has placed us in this work to fulfill the destiny and purpose that He has created us for.  Jesus was our example, as He taught the importance of serving others.  He taught us that as we minister to others, especially those in need, we are ministering to Him.

As Ed and I have completed 50 years of marriage, we are just as excited about continuing to serve the Lord in these outreaches. The last 14 years have been especially fulfilling and gratifying, and we're eager to see how the Lord plans to use us in the future.

As senior adults, our classmates need to uphold the values we were taught when we were kids in school together, and stand firmly for our country, believing that God is going to bring our nation back to the principles that our country  was founded on.  There are so many ways we can serve our communities, our churches, and our nation.  We can make a difference--just remember, we're the "ANGELS SENT FROM HEAVEN--THE CLASS OF '57."
