Jimmie and I have been married for 41
years. We have four children and three grandchildren. We
moved from Pampa in 1970 to Roswell, New Mexico. We have been here all
of this time, except for two years that we were transferred to Odessa.
We moved back to Roswell in l982. Jimmie retired from Transwestern
Pipeline in l992. I was a secretary for The Texas Railroad Commisson,
Transwestern Pipeline Company, Sun Oil Company, and after the
children were all in school, the Roswell Schools. When Jimmie
retired, I did too.
We keep busy with gardening, birdwatching, and traveling. We like to
play bridge and we are involved with our church.
In addition, Jimmie is in to woodworking. Presently, he is making
cherry cabinets for our son's kitchen. It has truly been a labor
of love. .I belong to the Pecos Valley Quilters. We
sometimes do more meeting and eating than quilting.
Our twins live in Colorado. Curtis is a geologist, Lance is an IT
person for Wells Fargo Bank. They really enjoy Colorado, snow and
all. We love to visit them. There are lots of beautiful
mountains and good places to eat and shop.
Our daughter, Starla and her husband live in Houston. Their two
girls are grown and in college.
Our youngest son and his wife and two year old daughter live right here
in Roswell. His wife Michele is a children's dentist and Tyler is a
stay-at-home daddy to Emery. We are so happy that we get to see her
almost every day. It is fun to be hands- on grandparents.
Thanks to Luther, we have been enjoying the biographies and pictures. I
am on the reunion committee and with lots and lots of help from Jimmie,
we have been making the name badges on the computer. This has been the
most fun of all for me.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone the 28th and 29th of
September.
