After graduation, I attended
Wayland Baptist Colllege. Although I did not graduate from
college, I have worked with the Home Mission Board of the Southern
Baptist Convention. I was an associate missionary with the
spanish speaking people of Denver Colorado from 1961 through
1965. I have pastored three churches in the Panhandle of
Texas. Locust Grove Baptist Church, Canadian; First Batpist
Church Mobeetie, Central Baptist Church of Borger. I am presently
Pastor of Gageby Baptist Church just outside of Briscoe, Texas.
While pastor in Borger I took a
lot of flac being a harvester. I stopped that by asking
where in the Bible, God ever told anyone to be a bulldog. He told
us the fields are white unto harvest, go be a harvester.
I married Claudetta Addington in
1960 and have four boys and one daughter, 15 grandchildren and 4 great
grandchildren. Attached is a picture taken in 2002. I am
the big guy with suspenders on the right side. My wife is the one
holding the coats on the first row to the left.
