After graduation I
married Jean Martindale August 1957and moved to Austin where he
finished college at the University Of Texas. We then moved to
Amarillo for a while when we decided that law school was probably where
he should be. After graduating from Baylor Law School, we moved
to Canadian for eighteen months then back to Pampa where he opened up
his law practice have been here since 1966. We were
blessed with two wonderful sons after 11 years of marriage.
Matthew, our oldest son is married and lives in Amarillo his family,
Erin and daughters, Molly and Emma. He is in the music business
and also practices law throughout the panhandle. Our youngest
son, Russell lives in Pampa with his precious wife, Sarah and Two
children, Maxwell and Mary Catherine. He is in the oil and gas
business. We are so grateful to have them both close so we can
enjoy our precious grandchildren and watch them grow up.
In March 1989, when
our youngest son , Russell, went to college, I began working for my
husband in his law practice. He said it would only be for a couple
weeks until he could find a secretary. I am still working.
We can't seem to find a stopping place.
We have a second
home in the mountains in Angel Fire, N.M. where we go every chance we
get. We like to spend each Thanksgiving and Christmas there with
our family. Life is good and we are very grateful for each day we
stay healthy. We just recently celebrated our 50th anniversary
and look forward to many more years together. Hope to see you at the
reunion.
