Lived in Philippine Islands for almost two years then Tucson, Arizona, where my first two children were born. Then to Charlotte, North Caroline for nine years. I have lived here in Tennessee since 1971. My third child was born here. Lonnie and I have been married for 41 ½ years. He retired early from Lockheed Martin at Oak Ridge, TN, one year ago. I went to nursing school and worked as office nurse for a local doctor for 12 years. I only work part timer now. We are enjoying our retirement, do a lot of fishing (we live at Watts Bar Lake) and traveling. We also have a 7-year-old grandson who is “totally grand”. God has blessed us so much.

For 2007 Class Reunion:

I married Lonny Hughes on March 24, 1956. He is from Tennessee. We lived in the Philippine Islands for almost two years and then to Tucson, Arizona for another 2 year5s. We have lived here in Kingston, Tennessee since 1971. We have 3 boys, Jerry, David and Ben. They are all married. Jerry and Vickie have a boy 9Trace) age 9 and a girl (Shanda) age 7. David and Maryanne have one son Thomas, age 17. Ben and Becky are expecting in March.

A lot of you all will probably remember my Mom, Elizabeth Tillery. She lived with us for 2 ½ years before she passed away last October. We miss here so much but we know she is with the Lord.

I didn’t graduate with the class of ’57 because I married so young. But when I was in my early 40’s I took the GED test. Then I went to nursing school to get an LPN license (they call it them LVN in Texas). I worked full time in a local doctors office for 13 years and then as “fill in” nurse for another 10 years.

Lonny and I have been married 51 years now. We both are Christians and love our home church. Lonnie is a Deacon and teacher and I sing in the choir.

We go to Naples, Florida in the Winter and we have a motor home and boat we take. We do a lot of fishing and really enjoy the warm weather. If you get down that way – come see us. Wish I could be there and renew old friendships. I would like to have a hard copy of the memory book. Just let me know the cost.
