Wayne's retirement picture

WAYNE L. HARRISON

Spouse Terrell (Terri)

Children Robert Scott

I graduated from Texas Tech in January 1964, was commissioned as a 2nd Lt in the USAF and went on active duty immediately. Served during the Viet Nam war all over the country, including the Pentagon. I married Terri in Nov of 1967. Robert Scott was born in 1970 in Fairbanks, Alaska, prior to our move to Washington D.C. In 1972, I requested release from active duty, remaining in the reserves, and moved to Denver, Colorado. I flew for a real estate firm for several years until called back onto active duty with the USAF, working with the Defense Security Assistance Agency. I enjoyed the work and continued to stay with them after military service. My job required travel into such countries as Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, England Germany,Colombia, and Japan. I retired in January 2005.

Now I have time, when Terri lets me, to play golf and work on my three cars (a 1967 Mustang convertible, a 65 Mustang TransAm race car, and my 1967 Shelby GT-350). I am also involved with barbershop singing with the internationally acclaimed Sound of the Rockies. Terri and I spend a lot of time keeping up the house and doing what it takes to be retired. Don’t know how I was ever able to work and do what needed to be done at home.
