CLASS OF 1957 50TH ANNIVERSARY REUNION

SEPTEMBER 28-29, 2007

The PHS Class of 1957 is planning a 50th Anniversary Reunion. Our events will be held at Stoke’s Barn, about three miles east of Pampa on the Miami highway, Hwy.60. The barn has tasty food, fun decorations, and plenty of space for visiting indoors and outdoors. This will be a great time of visiting and remembering

The reunion starts Friday night at 5PM with registration and a hamburger/hotdog supper. This is an open weekend for the Pampa Harvester football schedule, so no game. We’ll return to the barn Saturday morning at 9AM for a Dutch Oven Cowboy Breakfast. Our class picture will be taken after breakfast. We can be at the barn visiting all during the day. Soft drinks and water will be available throughout the events. The final event will be a steak dinner at 7 PM. Dr. Malcolm Brown will be our speaker. Malcolm is our class member who was inducted into the Pampa High School Hall of Fame in 1997. Earl Cooper, Student Body President in 1956-7 will be guiding our program through the evening. There will be a memorial time for our classmates who are deceased. This reunion is casual. The Stokes Barn does not allow smoking indoors and no alcohol is allowed on the property, indoors or outdoors.

Plan to make your motel reservations early. There is a large construction project in progress at the refinery in Phillips. Motels in towns all over the Panhandle are being used for the construction crews.

An Internet memory book is in progress. Luther Norman is asking that you send a picture and a short update of your biography, including names of spouse and progeny, to our class e-mail address: lnorman@phsclassof57.org. He is requesting that you use Microsoft Word for the biography. This is the “computer age.” If you are not savvy please call on your son, daughter, grandchild, friend, or neighbor to assist you! Remember that we won’t edit or retype so proof read your information. Our memory book may be viewed at www.phsclassof57.org. At the registration table we will have a sign-up sheet for people who want a hard copy. If we get enough requests for hard copy memory books, we will print and sell them at a later date.

Send checks to Alicia Heil, 1408 E. Francis St., Pampa, TX 79065

Send bios and pictures to Luther’s e-mail site: lnorman@phsclassof57.org

Make your own motel reservations. Come to visit and have a great time!
